Eurisy at the 72nd National Congress of Physics and Chemistry Teachers in Strasbourg, 29 October 2025

On 27 October 2025, Eurisy had the pleasure of attending the 72nd National Congress of Physics and Chemistry Teachers in Strasbourg. The event brought together physics teachers from across France, providing a unique opportunity to showcase GEOBSERVE, our platform for Earth observation data in education, and to engage directly with teachers about innovative ways to bring data-driven science into the classroom.

Eurisys booth welcomed French physics teachers eager to explore GEOBSERVE and discover how it can be used to enrich teaching and inspire students. Visitors were able to see the platform in action, navigating real-world Earth observation datasets, visualizing environmental changes, and learning how such data can support inquiry-based lessons and project work. To make the experience as hands-on as possible, we distributed illustrated booklets, which provide clear, step-by-step guidance on accessing the platform, exploring datasets, and integrating GEOBSERVE into classroom activities. The booklets also highlighted resources for teachers, including French hubs where educators can connect, share experiences, and access support materials.

The Congress was not only an opportunity to present the platform, but also a chance for Eurisy to learn directly from teachers about their needs and challenges. Conversations revealed that many educators are keen to bring authentic scientific data into lessons but face obstacles such as limited time, curricular constraints, and access to user-friendly tools.

Participation in the event also allowed Eurisy to expand our network, meeting teachers, school administrators, curriculum advisors, and other education stakeholders interested in collaborating or piloting the platform. Many teachers expressed interest in registering on the French hubs of GEOBSERVE, showing enthusiasm for joining a community of peers using Earth observation data in their classrooms.

Overall, the Congress proved to be a rich and rewarding experience. Teachers left our booth with practical tools and guidance, while Eurisy gained invaluable feedback, new contacts, and a deeper understanding of the needs of educators working at the forefront of science education. We look forward to continuing this dialogue, supporting teachers, and bringing data, discovery, and innovation into classrooms across France.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all the teachers who visited our booth, the organizers of the Congress for their exceptional hospitality, and our dedicated Eurisy team, whose expertise and enthusiasm made this participation possible.
